ELECTRA at EV expo in Jeju island - Korea
"Jeju island (South Korea) wishes to become carbon free by 2030"
The 3rd International Electric Vehicle Expo
March 18, 2016 Jeju, Korea
As part of this ambitious plan, the government plan to deploy 300,000 EVs by 2030 and completely replace traditional petrol car. Since March 2014, an International EV Expo has been organized in order to promote this process; moreover, starting from this year, an international conference has been initiated in order to support the research initiatives on EV grid integration.
Mattia Marinelli (DTU) has given a keynote speech titled "Enhancing the role of EVs in the smart grid: Resources or threats to power system operation? Trends and research drivers in Europe", where he also presented the web-of-cells concept and the smart grid research activities ongoing in the ELECTRA project.
Maybe this island and its 300,000 EV could set the perfect scene for testing the Web-of-Cells concept?
